WAYFARING
An exploration of place

Wayfaring is a publication that explores different cities and towns and looks at them with fresh eyes. The first edition was made in Portland, Ore. during the months of April-June 2013.

The project is composed of a book which documents a series of walks, using my home as the figurative center point of a compass, setting out no more than 20 miles away within the city limits. This book is accompanied by a set of mini-notebooks with a unique grid that allow the reader to participate in the project by setting out on their own series of walks and explorations, using the given framework.

Each of these pieces feature custom hand stamped elements and hand-binding. Additionally there is a set of four postcards featuring imagery and words/ideas found in the writings in the main book.

This was the second half of my senior thesis at PSU.
